Hello everyone, this is AL.F, it’s been a long time since I released the Butterfly 500G mini rig evaluation, this time I’m going to test CoinTerraTerraMiner™ IV.
I ordered it in October last year, and it cost me 5999 dollars. Though CoinTerra is a new company, most staffs are from famous companies such as SAMSUNG, NVIDIA and etc. So I chose to believe the company and ordered 2 TerraMiner IV, under the circumstance that most miners are hard to make a living nowadays.

For some reasons I’ve thrown away the package.

Viewed from the front side.

There are 2 built-in power supply units inside TerraMiner IV, 2 power cables are required, its capacity reaches to almost 2000 watt.

Viewed from the right side, there is a built-in powerful fan, which is used to cool the heat sink from an invisible water cooling system inside TerraMiner IV. The powerful fan gives magnificent cooling performance, however, this benefit comes with a serious drawback: loud noise.

A warranty void sticker is attached on the case, I’m afraid the warranty void if seal is broken, so I not going to disassemble it as usual, sorry.

3 fans are inserted in the left side, they won’t run until network cable is plugged. Setting for TerraMiner IV is similar to KNC miners, just enter the right IP address in the browser and finish setting mining parameters in the web control panel, it is quite convenient.

An information label shows model number and serial number of the miner.

An official 3D picture shows what it looks like inside the case.

Web control panel of TerraMiner IV, obviously it consist of 2 modules, and each module has 2 chipsets. Chipset temperature, fan speed are show on the web control panel.

The promised hashrate is 2 THash/s, according to my evaluation, it is just 1.6 THash/s, shame for this. Though customers can get a 100% refund from CoinTerra, I guess nobody wants to return after waiting for such a long time.

For those who returned miners, CoinTerra provides 5% coupons, for those who kept waiting, CoinTerra provides 15% coupons. What is the point of coupons? It would be better if CoinTerra compensate customers for hash rate loss, we need 2T, not coupons!

Loud noise is a serious issue for TerraMiner IV, it is still very loud even I lock it in a room.

As for the power consumption of TerraMiner IV, approximately 1900 watt.
