Recently Friedcat has released Prisma Bitcoin Miner based on the X48 program. Evaluation of the brand new miner are shown below.Compare with Friedcat Tube,Prisma's power consumption has 30% off。

You can run Prisma with the controller or Raspberry pi(with cgminer).Each controller or Raspberry pi can dirver 32 blades.

1.Package

Prisma in the box.Controller in the SF package.


Comprehensive package to ensure transport safety.


Accessories included a controller, 4 short data cables and a Prisma Bitcoin miner.


You should connect fan to miner first with 3pin interface.Take care,before run it,you should tidy line firest to avoid it contact with the miner's chips.

Viewed from the front side of the miner, there is a 12cm violence fan(12v4.8a)helps to cool the chips.


Frome the back of the miner,you can see the radiator.

Each blade has 48 BE200 asic chips.Total 192 chips on one Prisma.

The controller has no power adapter, you have to prepare a 12V 1A power adapter yourself.

2.Installation

We use a 600W PSU and a dell 750w for Prisma.


Each hash blade has 2 data interfaces.The way of connection as same as Friedcat Tube.Then connect to the controller's uart1 port.


Each hash blade has 2 pci-e6pin interfaces,you should connect one of them.


Get the power to the controller with (12V 1A)power adapter.


Open the PSU.


Pay attention that the postition of  DIP switch on the hash blade is a little different from Friedcat Tube.

3. Software setting:

Default configuration WEB IP address is 192.168.0.254, if your device is in different gateway, modify the IP address according this instruction:  http://www.cybtc.com/thread-9843-1-1.html

You can modify settings in this webpage.
After that press "update/restart",the mienr will restart in few seconds.

Chips status


The hashrate of the miner is about 1.4T in ghash.io.


After 6h working,The hashrate is about 1.39T-1.43T.


Working time:the lights of  controller will flash,


4.Power consumption, noise and temperature test.

Power consumtion:about 1214W.


In from the miner, the noise level is 89-92dBa.


From the back of the miner, the noise level is 88dBa


1m away from the miner, the noise level is about 80dBa.


The temperature:47℃ on the back.


The temperature of the hash balde is about 69℃.


The temperature of the chips is about 76℃.


5.Summary:

Prisma uses a low-power optimized design, have a  advantage in the miners competitive.
Hashrate of Prisma basically reached the official standards.
Fan noise is too large.
Good packaging.  
You can diy it yourself to reduce the fan's noise level .
The controller is nice but did not provide the power adpter.
