Dr series had launched their first miner, Dr1, early. Now, we introduce the new DASH miner of this series called Dr100-pro. The miner uses the latest developed chip and the standard hash rate up to 17G. Moreover, the miner has an automatic overclocking function.

I. Unpacking

The miner is packed with a plastic bag, styrofoam, and five layers cartons box.

The front of the miner has a 14cm cooling fan, this side is air inlet.

The top of the front of the miner shows the LAN interface and the status LED.

From the lateral of the miner, you can see the body of miner is made of alloy plate. Besides of the front cooling fan, there is another cooling at the back side.

From the top of the miner, you can see the miner consists of four mining boards.

The controller located at the front side of the miner and the power socket of the mining located at the back side of it. Each mining board has two PCIe 6-pin sockets.

Though the miner has a great hash rate, it is not heavy. The appearance shows good craftsmanship. The controller has a metal cover, the sign cables with a clasp design, a large capacitor. Moreover, a short air duct and a double cooling fan make the miner provides good stability.

II. Installation and software configure

In the test, we will use a 1600W power supply with gold standard conversion rate.

The installation of Dr100-pro is very simple. Plug in the cables to all PCIe sockets of mining plates of the miner (there are 8 sockets).

Then plug the cable to the input power socket of the controller (PCIe 6-pin).

Plug in the LAN cable.

This is the finished wire connection of the miner.

After connecting to the power supply, input the IP address of the miner through the browser of any computer or mobile phone in the same LAN, and you can log in and configure the miner. The default IP is 192.168.1.200.

First, input the IP, 192.168.1.200 to the browser, then input the password to enter the control panel of the miner. The default username and password are also: "admin".

In the test, we use the Cybtc mining pool: dash.cybtc.info.

Input the mining pool address.

Fill in mining pool 1 with "stratum+tcp://wk1.cybtc.info:5588"
Fill in mining Pool 2 with "stratum+tcp://wk2.cybtc.info:5588"
Fill in mining pool 3 with "stratum+tcp://wk2.cybtc.info:5588"

Then fill in your worker's name and password, and click "Save and Restart".

The front page of the control panel. It has a graphical user interface. The page will update the status after the miner start mining about ten seconds. You can see the real-time status of the miner on this page.

III. Testing

The indoor noise is about 39dBa and the room temperature is about 30 degrees.

The default frequency is 300. After a long time, the hash rate varies is between 16.5G-18.5G. The average value is about 17.2 G, and the curve of hash rate curve has no large fluctuation.

The power consumed is 832W.

When fan speed is 3660-3840 rpm, the noise level is measured as 86.4dBa from about 20cm.

The temperature of mining chip and the mining board show 43 degrees and 37-40 degrees in control respectively.

The air inlet is measured at 32.6 degrees.

IV. Overclock test

At the pool configuration page of control tick "Auto Frequent", the miner will change to automatic overclock mode.

The hash rate measured for overclocking mode is between 18.5G and 19G.

The measured power consumed is about 915w.

V. Summary

1. After a long period of operation, the average value of hash rate is about 17.2 G, and there is no great fluctuation in the curve of hash rate.

2. When using the default frequency is 300, the hash rate is 17.2 G, and the power consumed is about 832W.

3. After overclocking, the hash rate is 18.5G-19G and the power consumed is 915W. As the test is done in the hot weather of the south, the miner should have better overclock performance if the temperature is lower.

4. In terms of cooling, the air duct of the miner is short and two cooling fans provide a great air cooling. The chip temperature is not high, and the temperature difference between the air inlet and outlet is not high, which it would be beneficial to run the miner stable.

5. The only drawback is the noise level of 86.4dBa, but it is common in miner with a high hash rate.

6. The design of the hardware and software is focused on stability, user-friendly, plug and play. It is showed in the review.
